I just got off the phone with James Cooper of SEEART (Sacramento Educational Events for Art) and he's confirmed that both the Legacy Trees Project and the Midtown Murals Project look forward to being a part of Park Your Art @ McMartin Realty for Green Second Saturday!

SEEART has been doing great things for Midtown in the form of the Midtown Murals Project for several years with creations like the mural at 15th & J on a building owned by Jim Tanovitz of Art Ellis Supply, the wrap-around corner mural on Uptown Market at 17th & Capitol, and the mosaic mural on OfficeMax at 17th & J.

Now SEEART has partnered with Councilmember Steve Cohn's office and the State Department of General Services (DGS) to acquire a historic (or "legacy") tree from the State Capitol grounds to be used as part of their arts education initiative and to create new art.

SEEART is joining us to share what they're doing with the rest of Sacramento and to promote their upcoming project launch party fundraiser on May 3rd at the Art Foundry at 10th & R. For more information about SEEART, the Legacy Trees Project, or Midtown Murals, visit http://www.seeart.org.
